Band You Should Know: Walk The Moon
From playing main stage at Lollapalooza, performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and claiming the number one spot on Amazon's Best Songs of 2012...So Far (they beat out Gotye, Lana Del Rey, and fun.) for their song "Anna Sun", up-and-coming band Walk the Moon are going to make 2012 their own.
Walk the Moon, a pop-infused indie rock quartet from Cincinnati, Ohio, independently released their first album i want i want! in the fall of 2010, receiving attention and airplay for their tune "Anna Sun". They signed to Mick Management in February of 2011 and spent their summer in the studio with producer Ben Allen. We’ll finally be able to hear their newest self-titled album on June 19th!
The band stated that their current single titled "Anna Sun", was named after their professor in college and that it symbolizes youth and maintaining that part of you that's still a kid.
A tap-your-feet rhythm, a gnarly synth, and sing-along chorus? Buzznet, I think "Anna Sun" is your new summer anthem.
