HEY GUYS.
This is my brother!
So today I went to the EMP (where I volunteer) and I got to meet Tom Delonge of blink-182/Angels and Airwaves! Oh, and I also dressed up as an astronaut, danced around in the big venue and yeah. AVA is promoting their movie LOVE (it's being shown at the Seattle International Film Festival, they wanted to promote it at the EMP so they asked us to help out). We had to stand 'at attention'--hands behind our backs, knees a bit apart. Eventually they just told us to dance around (they were having a dance party in the venue part of the museum). There were about twelve astronauts total. I guess they wanted astronauts to create a sort of atmosphere to help promote their film.
One girl and I were asked to go up into the Lounge where Tom and the rest of AVA were doing press interviews. Again, we stood by the couches and 'at attention'. Tom was really nice, he introduced himself and wanted to know who was behind the space-suits. A bit later they did some meet and greets with fans, we stood by the tables and just stood.. haha.
A few kids asked for pictures with us/the astronauts, which was kind of fun/weird, I don't know how well-known people do it. Attention makes me uncomfortable but it didn't really matter because we were wearing helmets.
At last, the rest of the astronauts/volunteer were shuffled up to the Lounge and they signed/gave us some posters.
Sorry, this is really long! You can read more about their film here: http://angelsandairwaves.com/
